About the Role:
We are seeking an Azure DevSecOps engineer with hands-on Azure experience and proven abilities to support “secure from start” software activities in an Agile software development lifecycle. We are seeking a well-rounded DevSecOps engineer for a cloud based big data application using a variety of technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with developers on the team to achieve secured architecture and design objectives as agreed with stakeholders.
This is a remote contract based role for one year with possibility of extension.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Meet with stakeholders to understand the security policies and guidelines.
Create, develop, and implement solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements.
Identify the needs for build automation, designing, and implementing CICD solutions.
Design action plans to address CICD platform/tools/solutions’ shortcomings and difficulties
Actively participate in calls with team members and contractors/vendors to prevent or quickly address security related problems
Troubleshoot, identify, and fix problems in the DevSecOps domain
Collaborate with developers on the team to ensure security standards are adopted from start during product deliverables.
Familiarity with various encryption solutions and related technologies in Cloud.
Must have experience handling PII data.
Work independently and collaboratively on a multi-disciplined project team in an Agile development environment.
Learn and integrate with a variety of systems, APIs, and platforms.
Interact with a multi-disciplined team to clarify, analyze, and assess requirements.
Be actively involved in the design, development, and testing activities in big data applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university
Familiarity with Azure zones, security keys and containers.
Technical expertise in a variety of DevSecOps toolkits, including Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Blackduck, Terraform, Git/Version Control Software, or comparable technologies.
Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards
Knowledge of DevOps Automation (TerraFrom, GitHub, GitHub Actions)
Knowledge of Wiz or similar services3
Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, AWS/Azure Cloud Security
Knowledge of any of the following - PCI-DSS, HIPPA, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA Standards and Policies and audit processes
Familiarity with Databricks. Azure Databricks is a plus.
Hands-on experience with a code versioning tool such as GitHub,Bitbucket, etc.
Familiarity with cloud policy, configuration, and security management tools
Experience with security automation and machine learning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team.
Any mix of the following skills is also valuable:
Experience with DEVOPS CI/CD tools and automation processes (e.g., Azure DevOPS, GitHub, BitBucket).
Azure or AWS Cloud certification preferred.
CISM, CISSP or other Security Certifications preferred.
