Overview

The Priceless Platform team operates with a start-up mentality within the broader Consumer Marketing team and Mastercard. The goal of this team is to build out the Priceless Platform technology to be the hub for all consumer-facing content across Mastercard for B2C (www.priceless.com), and a revenue-driving product solution for B2B2C (for Mastercard B2B customers who can leverage the Priceless Platform technology and content via API or co-branded microsite to engage their customers).

The Priceless Platform team is looking for a Lead Product Manager to manage and improve new and existing products for both our consumer business and our B2C and B2B2C business. This role requires frequent client-facing communications and touchpoints, as well as close collaboration with Technical Program Managers, Developers, UX designers, and internal customers to define the details behind business requirements. You will decompose those business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions, derived from business needs, market opportunities, and technology trends, that drive the platform and product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Owns and manages product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable

• Elicits and decomposes business requirements into platform requirements and user stories and shares those user stories with engineering teams

• Coordinates internal forums to collect and identify feature-level development opportunities

• Prioritizes the backlog

• Defines the acceptance criteria for user stories

• Recommends trade-off decisions on platform product features/depth of features/backlog items

• Makes use of research, user studies, metrics and competitive analysis to understand the platform and business needs for a platform product and inform the backlog

• May participate with the business in customer research to inform platform product feature needs

• Accelerates progress by driving crisp, timely decisions

• Coordinates with interdependent teams on platform product requirements

• Manages escalations with leadership effectively

• Manages communications across all subteams (product, engineering, etc.) effectively to ensure consistent messaging is present

• Keeps close to the design of the user experience

• Continuously monitors feature development at the feature level adjusting throughout implementation as needed

• Reviews product demo against acceptance criteria for the feature set

• Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of designs, in terms of scalability, latency, security, performance, data integrity, etc., to ensure appropriate trade-offs / outcomes

• Prepares launches and monitors platform performance, adoption, and operational health for feature sets

• Supports and participates in post-launch demos and reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature

• Stays aligned with GTM plans for the feature set

• Identifies issues that will keep the platform features from being delivered on time and/or with the desired requirements

• Works with internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Product management

• Experience with technical product management and development teams

• Experience working directly with engineers to define and plan technical product

• Experience working in a partner/client facing role

• Ability to deliver with limited guidance

• Able to manage through areas with ambiguity to bring solution or lead discussions to get to solution

• Knowledge of e-commerce systems, Payments space and API technologies

• Fast learner on both the technical and business side

• Is proactive and operates with a sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude

• Strategic problem solver who can balance big picture strategy with detailed execution

• Ability to stay organized while handling competing priorities

• Extensive hands-on experience with developing technical roadmaps, story outlines, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment

• Strong analytical skills
