Role Summary

An experienced and results oriented professional to be an integral part of the Oracle LIFT organization as a Technical Project manager, managing all aspects of delivery of LIFT delivery engagements, from managing customer stakeholders through to successful implementation:

  • Contributing to the Delivery planning and strategy, providing experiences / best practices.

  • Responsible for the delivery of the agreed Scope of workload implementation.

  • Assisting in testing of the implemented solution.

  • Perform Security Assurance Reviews.

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction

Working as an implementer of LIFT projects you will be part of a versatile team of specialists. Collaborating with your peers, Workload Architects, Account Cloud Engineers as well as country-based Sales and Consulting teams will be critical to executing the delivery model.

On a day-to-day basis you will participate in either one or more concurrent engagements, to grow a cloud business for Oracle. Typical LIFT projects include migration & deployment in OCI of the following workloads: database, Oracle applications, reporting & analytics, custom applications / VMs, and some more.

You will be results oriented and focused on customer success. You are expected by our customers to be the best in your area of expertise. You will be focused on managing the delivery of high quality Cloud solutions with your technical or project management expertise. Your aim will be to create an outstanding experience for our customers.

What does a LIFT delivery look like?

With opportunities provided by our cloud sales org, the LIFT Team will engage with the customer to ‘unpack’ the business challenge and architectural scope into a delivery plan that we can align with the customer’s expectations. It is likely you will have already been in the loop with the customer during the “sales cycle”. Once we have a deal signed with the customer, you will work with the customer and the wider LIFT Team to ensure we create a short sharp ‘WOW’ delivery experience for our customers.

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written! You are able to not only understand complex technologies but also to explain to others in clear and simple terms. You can articulate key messages very clearly.

  • Being able to present in front of customers.

Required skills:

  • Solid technical background in IT infrastructure and application architectures. (Oracle, AWS, AZURE)

  • Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.

  • Understanding of cloud migration approaches and supporting tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.

  • Experience in using Jira tool

  • Total experience: Minimum of 6 years and above.

  • Work experience in a similar role is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage end-to-end Oracle Cloud migration projects, adhering to established timelines and budgets.

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with stakeholders' requirements and expectations.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues to maintain project momentum and quality.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Collaborate with Oracle Cloud architects, engineers, and vendors to optimize migration processes and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

  • Conduct post-migration reviews and analysis to assess project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate continuous optimization of migration methodologies.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project plans, technical specifications, and migration procedures to support knowledge transfer and future initiatives.
