U.S. Marine Corps MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Quantico, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a Management Analyst in the S5 Project Management Office of Marine Corps Intelligence Activity located in Quantico, Virginia. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will plan, coordinate and manage assigned projects. You will provide comprehensive project analysis, advisory and consultative services to all levels of management within the command on specific and command-wide projects that impact a variety of functions. You will serve as a Project Manager under the oversight and guidance of the PMO Lead. You will be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects of limited scope and complexity. You will work collaboratively with teams of personnel with diverse experiences and skills. You will manage assigned project schedules and resources throughput the project life-cycle. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying appropriate project management methodologies to plan and manage all aspects of projects; 2) Establish and manage project schedules to ensure timely project completion; 3) Develop project resource estimates, monitor costs, respond to unexpected costs; 4) Maintain thorough and accurate records of project information and data, use this information to support decisions; 5) Identify and resolve conflicts, delays, budget problems or other unexpected problems; 6) Demonstrate effective written and oral communication by providing written project updates, leading meetings, engaging with project sponsors and stakeholders.
