Job Description:

We’re looking for a Business Analytics Consultant to join our Data Analytics and Reports team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to provide business insights through in-depth analysis on financial and non-financial data. The person will evaluate business requirements, identify sources of data, and use business intelligence tools (E.g. Power Platforms including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate) to create analytically rich solutions to critical business questions. The role will also develop standardized reports, dashboards and self-service access to critical information for individuals across all the functional groups within Manulife. The candidate must need to become quickly familiar with the data, its structure, and also have strong business acumen (in finance, strategy, procurement, technology, products) which will allow to create meaningful insights in support of the business.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid with 3x a week on-site schedule (9 hours a day)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Reporting & Analytics for Procurement monthly operations including the rollover for month-on-month data refresh and insights related to spend data (Events & AMEX transactions)

  • Data preparation, transformation and dashboard refresh for Travel & Event data. Enhancements of formulas, data models, visualizations and dashboards

  • Develop, enhance and maintain the Procurement Reporting & Analytics tools which requires expertise on Microsoft Power Platforms including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI. (E.g Ticketing system)

  • Write, enhance and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and reporting related to invoice data using Ivalua

  • Understand, learn and explore Ivalua application to better support the data framework and implementations that will effect the data structure and reporting within the Ivalua ecosystem. Become one of the Ivalua POCs through learning and taking training & certifications on the tool’s fundamentals and configurations

  • Provide expertise and support on Ad-hoc requests such as dashboard development, data analysis, reporting, process improvement & automation, and recommendations & insights.

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in any quantitative/science course, preferably Business/IT or Procurement - related

  • EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years of relevant experience

  • SCHEDULE : Amenability to work on night shift schedule, weekends, and Philippine holidays (when needed)

  • LOCATION: Amenability to work in U.P. Ayala Land Technohub, Quezon City

  • HYBRID WORK ARRANGEMENT: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)

  • Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any quantitative/science course, preferably Business/IT or Procurement - related

  • 3-5 years progressive business analysis and/or procurement experience supporting significant business initiatives

  • Strong technical skills on analytics and data transformation tools. Intermediate to advanced Power BI, Power Query, Excel, SQL, Power Apps and Power Automate/VBA.

  • Able to translate issues and problems into effective business solutions

  • Ability to effectively apply project management and business cases methodologies and ensure the necessary technical skills are included with the project team and utilized appropriately

  • Effective communications and presentation skills, able to articulate client or business needs and cases clearly and effectively when presenting information.

  • Ability to build positive and effective business relationships with key stakeholders and business management

  • Prioritize work deliverables and small initiatives for internal clients based on changing business needs (deadlines, costs, scope of projects)
