Position Summary

The software Test Engineer shall be responsible for validation and verification of various software products. He/She shall be involved from initial development until the final release of the products – ensuring that all software requirements are tested before the product is released to the customers, while adhering to Advanced Energy’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated unit and functionality tests for various software products using black box, white box and gray box approach.

• Create and ensure that test plan covers all software requirements.

• Develop and set-up test environment (i.e. software testing tools, automated test equipment, etc.) to be used for testing.

• Create test cases and test scripts to be used for test automation.

• Report issues/defects found during testing and collaborate with software development and other team interfaces on how these reported issues can be resolved/moved to closure.

• Consolidate test results and defects to be used to provide recommendations for software release.

• Regularly communicate test updates with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, ECE, Computer Science or other related field.

• 3+ years software testing experience (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for entry level positions)

• Preferably with experience in testing software and computer systems (GUI, API, Web and Mobile Applications) using a variety of languages (JavaScript, Python, C++, etc.)

• Preferably with experience in using software Testing tools like Selenium, Postman, JIRA, etc.

• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to details

• Has high level of accountability and can easily adapt to rapidly changing tasks.
