Job Purpose and Impact

The Animal Care Specialist I, will assist sales team members in providing solutions and support to internal clients and external customers and work may be performed on site or at customer locations. In this role, you will use existing tools to provide technical support to customers, resolve technical problems and troubleshoot or modify products to meet customer requirements. You may also provide assistance to the sales team by providing documentation or delivering customer training.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain the company culture of safety first, culture of conduct and labor discipline.

  • Practice satisfactory technical training of livestock veterinarians for sales staff in support areas.

  • Perform independent technical work in the market such as proof of performance, train sales staff, build key feeder camp and coordinate with sales staff to organize the technical aspects of seminars.

  • Know how to implement the companies proof of performance and collect competitors' proof of performance metrics.

  • Understand the company's nutrition products to provide independent consulting to improve livestock productivity, disease prevention and disease treatment procedures for farms.

  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
