Job: Applications Food Scientist

Location: Racine, WI

Pay: $60-90k/year based on experience

The Associate Food Scientist - Applications works under the guidance of the Applications Manager on gaining the understanding of our client's products, usage and application development in order to create new formulations to showcase ingredients in support of the sales divisions, customer, brokers and distributors.

Job Duties

  1. Develop technical expertise and leadership used to support internal and external customers, by learning products, standard demos and Applications Directory, while following all company SOPs and GMPs.

  2. Complete assignments by due dates, while communicating clear and correct results.

  3. Perform daily bench top duties.

  4. Document and record detailed project results, including but not limited to products utilized, dates, number of trials, results (whether favorable or a learning opportunity) and provide a monthly synopsis of projects.

  5. Assist and participate in weekly tastings and document all findings.

  6. Create accurate batch sheets for review.

  7. Proactive creation and organization of a clean and safe working environment.

  8. Assist in introductory presentations, open houses and training seminars to customers, brokers and distributors.

  9. Accompany Applications team members while traveling domestically as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Degree in food science or related field of study.

Experience: Technical experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in the Applications industry.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
