Responsibilities

We are looking for a Data Management Expert to become a full-time member of Public Consulting Group’s Technology Consulting practice. Qualified candidates will function as a Change Leader responsible for aiding in the advancement of Data Management capabilities across our clients’ organizations. Responsibilities will include executing Data Management Maturity assessment, creating, and implementing Data Management strategy, refining, and updating data management methodology documents and artifacts, contributing to the development of data management training, and executing data governance use cases.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Data Management Strategy

• Continuous improvement of the data management methodology and the execution toolkit (e.g. tools, templates, process diagrams, communication artifacts, etc.)

• Ability to lead and moderate Data management assessment interviews with stakeholders.

• Ability to lead and moderate Data governance committee meetings with stakeholders.

• Continuous improvement of the data management maturity assessment methodology

• Execution of maturity assessments (based on CMMI DMM) for each data domain and working with Data Stewards to prioritize process areas to focus capability building

• Lead/Execute data governance initiatives

• Define and establish data governance metrics, KPI and metrics

• Define and operationalize data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines for Enterprise-wide usage

• Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects

• Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals

• Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models

• Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope

• Projects may have significant and long-term impact

• Provides solutions that may set a precedent

• Dedicated to exemplary customer service

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Data Governance, Data Management

• Minimum 3+ years of experience with leading Data management

• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems Data

• Clear understanding of industry best practices and standards related to Data Management and the DMBOK

• Experience with DG tool suites (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Alation, etc.), specifically implementation/operational usage of Business Glossary, Data Catalog, and Data Quality capabilities within these tools.

• Analytical & Word Processing: Must demonstrate command of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)

• Presentation: must demonstrate clear, concise articulation of proposed actions, illustrating opportunity, alternatives, recommendation, and associated economics

• Preferred experience with MITA

• Strong oral, written, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

• 4-year degree required BS/BA Business or Equivalent

• CDMP certification is a plus

• Must be located in the South-eastern(SC, NC, GA, FL) part of the US.

• Ability to understand both the service delivery system for programs which are administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.

• Ability to understand and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements.

• Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially data analytics (i.e. ACCESS, SQL, SPSS)

• Ability to use sound judgment in completing tasks and to seek guidance when needed.

• Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with accurate results.

• Ability to move projects forward within a specific timeline and budget while working at a detailed level.

• Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.

• Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and management.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience required and Master’s degree (MPA or government focused MBA) preferred

Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience

Medicaid experience preferred

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $100,000-125,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 15%. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
