JOB OVERVIEW

The Digital Print Operator will Prepare surfaces for printing on products such as Plastic Water bottles and Insulated Steel cups. Operator will Set-Up/Run the digital printing machine(s) to meet specified customer samples and requirements.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is based in our Rantoul, IL location.

As the Digital Print Operator you will have an opportunity to:

  • Prepares surfaces for printing.

  • Set up digital printing machine to customer specifications.

  • Inspect that branding was done to expected standards.

  • Repackage product.

  • Maintain equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions and by completing preventative maintenance requirements and schedules.

  • Maintains safe conditions by following guidelines and procedures for handling and disposing of materials.

  • Operates and uses all equipment following standard work instructions and operating procedures.

  • Maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, organization, and supply levels.

  • Observe all safety rules and regulations, exercise care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

You have:

  • Previous knowledge of prep standards preferred.

  • Flexibility with work schedule and task changes. Be prepared to work overtime.

  • Ability to monitor all phases of the digital printing process and operate the necessary equipment to verify compliance with quality control standards.

  • Ability to comprehend customers’ requirements. Read and comprehend and carry out all work instructions.

  • Ability to rely on judgment for personal safety regarding work.

  • Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member,

  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations within the organization.

  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to perform essential functions and responsibilities of the job with limited supervision.

  • Must be flexible.

  • Have careful attention to detail.

  • Manual dexterity required for operating equipment, machinery and tools.

  • Be reliable and have good work attendance history.

  • Possess a positive attitude with work ethic of the highest degree. Abilities : Stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and work at heights from floor to 30 feet high.Lift and shift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.Exercise proper utilization of team lifting for heavier items.Manual dexterity for operating equipment/machinery.Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision.Demonstrate clear and effective verbal and written communication techniques. Environment: Exposure to noise, dust, and climate changes Hours/Compensation/Benefits: Hours : Production Team - M-TH 10 hr days + Friday/Sat as needed to support Sales Compensation: $17.48/hr. Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance (Day one). 401K, PTO, Tuition reimbursement, stock option & EAP.

Pay Range:

$17.48 - $17.48

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
