POSITION TITLE:TechnologistPOSITION DUTIES:•Perform a variety of laboratory tests and assays in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations in a designated technical department. •Sample preparation by way of manual analysis, automated equipment and/or specialized instrumentation these samples are then accurately analyzed and processed for lab reporting. •Troubleshoots bench issues as needed based on testing specifics. •Determine acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. •Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. •Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and controls. •Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. •Identify and replenish testing supplies as necessary. •Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Technology Management, Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science or related, AND one (1) year as Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Research Chemist, or related. Applicants must have demonstrative experience with: •performing sample testing analysis, Proficiency Testing Analysis, Quality Control assessment, sample integrity assessment, and final review for reporting test results.•automated and manual analytical methods and instrumentation •high-tech automation and demanding manual procedures and techniques.•latest techniques and regulations.•laboratory established policies when test systems are not within lab acceptable performance levels; and able to complete corrective action.•clinical or academic laboratory.•lab testing protocols and procedures, their required sample types and sample volume.License: •CLIA, State or ASCPi certification license in Medical Laboratory Technology fieldDAYS / HOURS: Tues to Sat / 2:00 pm to 10:30 pmTO APPLY: Email resume to: labcorphold@labcorp.com , Ref ID #240416
