The Role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analysing and documenting specifications and solutions for projects with focus on the ERP and Financial systems.

This position will also directly work with Global Accounting & Finance to respond timely to team inquiries on related Financial systems, troubleshoot financial system issues and analyze current business and financial processes.

The Sr Business Systems Analyst will act as a liaison between finance business groups and Finance-IT. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and excellent communication and strong Project Management skills. The ability to work well in a dynamic environment, think creatively, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required

Your day-to-day

  • Define and document business processes, data maps, and consult with end users on requirements, functionality, & solutions; specify system designs, data, workflow, & logical processes to meet organization objectives.

  • Perform application configuration & management, project coordination, and identify / evaluate / review innovative technologies for potential solutions; and ability to perform data extraction & analysis.

  • Provide first level support by responding to inquiries from end-users and/or technical staff regarding application, system, & reporting issues, and train end-users and/or technical support staff on software applications

  • Must be able to identify, troubleshoot, solve, communicate and manage systems problems under time constraints with minimal supervision

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Accounting business groups (P2P, R2R) to solve business problems related to finance related systems. Also, preferred working with O2C business groups.

  • Responsible to work with 3rd party vendors to understand and resolve open system issues; work with vendors on cloud and on-premise systems

  • Build master data and transactional reports using Power BI and other analytical reporting tools

  • Good experience regression testing tools like RSAT, The Test Mart, Executive Automats

  • Provide Project Management and leadership for Finance projects to provide new capabilities to the Finance users,

  • Administer and support business applications: Microsoft D365, Expense management systems (Concur, ChromeRiver), Blackline, RevPro, Avalara and other financial systems.

What you bring to the team

  • Experience with large ERP systems is required.

  • Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus and exposure to Dynamics AX for Operations is a plus.

  • Working with financial related applications and working with vendors/internal customers to resolve and respond to financial system issues and inquiries.

  • Proven track record of managing projects within budget and timeline

  • Experience in multiple Finance functional areas (e.g. accounting, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, business intelligence, payroll, order-to-cash).

  • Experience working with systems that handle sensitive data and with SOX controls and change management processes

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage projects autonomously

  • Develop business cases and cost/benefit analysis for management evaluation

  • Oversee security policies and procedures to ensure compliance

  • Drive projects to completion, testing, and acceptance of project results

  • Preferred relevant work experience with ERP systems, Blackline, RevPro and other financial systems

  • Ability to provide On-Call and After-Hours support
