As a Cloud Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible to lead customer implementation using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Cloud Platform services for customers in UK & Ireland. These implementation projects will primarily involve Migrating Non-Oracle Applications to OCI, Migrating Middleware Workloads to OCI, Migrating Databases to OCI, and Designing and building new integrations, custom applications and analytics using Oracle’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). You will leading a team of Oracle Cloud Architects, Technical Consultants both local and offshore on these implementations.

You will oversee the planning, project management, and customer satisfaction for these implementation projects. You will also have financial project delivery responsibility including budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Oracle Customers, Oracle Sales Teams, and other Oracle organizations to drive Oracle Cloud adoption and customer go lives through successful projects implementations.

  • Work closely with the Oracle Cloud Delivery Consultants staffed on your project to execute the work and achieve the desired results (e.g., project objectives, customer adoption, cloud go-live, cloud consumption).

  • Lead the delivery of Oracle Cloud implementation projects using Consulting Paid Services.

  • Plan and manage all Oracle Cloud Delivery Consultants across the software development lifecycle process (SDLC).

  • Create cloud implementation project plans including scope, assumptions, key activities, dependencies, risk & mitigation plan, and resource loading for the work.

  • Hold weekly meetings with customer project managers and customer leadership as needed.

  • Track and report progress weekly to customers and within Oracle Consulting.

  • Lead large and complex Migrations of Non-Oracle applications, Custom Applications, Middleware Workloads, and Databases to OCI, Analytics, Security & Integration projects.

  • Manage project delivery utilizing Oracle employees in UK, EMEA and India as a blended delivery team.

  • Manage project schedule, issue/risk register, resources, and communications.

  • Manage, control, prioritize, provide latest status, and visibility to stakeholders responsible

  • Manage project scope and execute appropriate change requests

  • Manage project financials including revenue forecast, project margin, and project cash flow

  • Manage relationships throughout the customer organization including all project team members, business contributors and stakeholders, and executive management

  • Act as a liaison to prospects, customers and partners.

  • Establish trusted relationships with customers and prospects and understand their objectives. Solicit and provide product feedback from customers and prospects.

  • Single point of contact for Executive escalations on Customer Engagements.

  • Collaborate with Oracle Consulting, Oracle Support, and Oracle Product Development as needed during escalations.

  • Participate in the production of proposals and pre-sales activity in support of the Technology Consulting Sales organisation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading project implementations, preferably with Oracle Cloud but competitor cloud implementations from AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud will be considered, and using Oracle Technology like Fusion Middleware and Oracle Database.

  • Must have experience with managing transformation, technical implementation or migration to cloud projects.

  • Ability to craft, review, augment Delivery Statements of Work and various project plans.

  • Strong communication skills with experience developing and managing customer relationships.

  • High motivation and desire to do whatever it takes to help the customer and our company succeed

  • Project Management Delivery certifications like PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2 and Agile Scrum are encouraged but not required.

Responsible for guiding the successful implementation of non-routine and complex business solutions ensuring high quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction.

Analyse business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for effective project delivery on small to medium engagements. Provides direction and mentoring to project team. Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain credibility. Manages the scope of medium sized projects including the recovery of remedial projects.

3+ years of experience relevant to this position, showing prior project management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus.
