Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in REDFORD, Michigan. This role is pivotal within our team and will involve day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring effective communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues, and deliverables and will be actively involved in the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting and financial reporting for assigned functional areas

• Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas

• Communicate routinely with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables

• Conduct month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas

• Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations

• Prepare and submit financial results for periodic management reporting

• Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules

• Prepare journal entries related to assigned functional responsibilities

• Analyze foreign currency transactions and their impact on financial results

• Manage and track leases and fixed assets

• Perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance

• Review and research accounting transactions for functional areas.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role or a related field

• Proficient in using ERP Solutions

• Extensive experience with budget processes

• Skilled in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Proficient in Variance Analysis

• Experience with Month-End Close and Year-End Closings

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations

• Skilled in Financial Reporting

• Able to handle Accruals and Journal Entries

• Knowledge of Foreign Currency transactions

• Familiarity with Lease Accounting

• Experience managing Fixed Assets

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field is required

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must be legally authorized to work in the specified location.
