Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will be a part of the team of experts working on the development of advanced Customer Terminal products. You will own or contribute to the following:
Design high-speed digital and/or RF circuits in collaboration with various teams
Design and optimization of different blocks of electronics sub-systems
Schematic capture and lead PCB layout design and reviews
Design DC/DC power supplies and Point of Load
Support flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures
Board bring-up and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems
Support design automated test systems, test fixtures and factory test
Support the transition of the designs to mass production
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in high-speed digital design and/or RF designs
3+ years of experience in signal and power integrity design and analysis
3+ years of experience of mixed signal PCB layout designs
3+ years of experience in using schematic capture tool and PCB layout viewer
2+ years of experience board bring up and debugging in lab environment
2+ years of experience using lab equipment including soldering irons, hand-tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
Preferred Qualifications
Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering
Familiarity with analog electronics fundamentals (transistor, op-amps, filters, etc)
Familiarity with DC power supply designs
Familiarity with Hyperlynx Signal Integrity simulation tool
Familiarity with EMI/EMC design mitigation
Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools
Previous work experience in a programming languages
Proficiency in developing lab test programs for instrument control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
