The Azure Storage team is hiring a Product Manager II . This team delivers virtual disks, container storage, file and object storage, SAN/NAS-in-the-cloud, and more. Azure Storage services are a fundamental building block for customers migrating to or transforming their solutions on Azure. As a Product Manager in this team, you will be part of a strategic group with industry-wide impact. This specific role will have you work on Azure Storage’s latest cloud-native offerings, and will help you develop your technical depth, acquire knowledge of the storage market, and become adept at shipping features for enterprise-scale customers.

Responsibilities

  • You will research customer / partner scenarios and industry trends, listen and understand customer requirements, and translate them into viable product roadmaps, strategy, and motions.

  • You will engage customers and partners to help them evolve their solutions and applications on Cloud.

  • You will analyze and track storage performance characteristics, usage patterns, and requirements.

  • You will innovate new capabilities and enhance existing processes to remove frictions in the customer experience.

  • You will drive end to end product development including new ideas, product specification, user experience, price-performance model, go to market plan and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifcations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product / service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ years experience and foundation in software engineering principles and architecture design.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Analytical problem-solving, with ability to work with virtual teams through ambiguity.

  • Dependable, self-motivated, self-directed, and able to lead and motivate a high-energy team. principles and architecture design.

  • Knowledge of on-premises storage systems or storage performance is a plus.

  • Communication, collaboration, and coordination skills.

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
