About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Materiel Command Logistics Support Activity, Redstone Arsenal, AL. Responsibilities Serve as a functional expert or project leader for business processes involved with management. Represent the agency at working groups, workshops, meetings on automated logistics management systems as required. Perform logistics management functions by integrating logistics actions required to support customers and processes. Maintain systems data so that actions are in accordance with established guidelines. Identify resources required to develop specific program plans to ensure mission requirements are accomplished. Conduct technical functions in the development of automated data systems or formulation of logistics procedures. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing logistics management functions that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support specified missions or programs; analyzing logistics material master data development and maintenance procedures including developing and documenting requirements; and provide data analysis to support material master decision making. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
