Clearco Senior Software Engineer in Remote, Ontario
Clearco is the leader of AI, data-driven eCommerce funding and has advanced over $2.5 billion in non-dilutive capital to over 10,000 businesses. Our revolutionary Invoice Funding product allows entrepreneurs to fund their expenses–including marketing and inventory–without giving up cash flow so they can plan for the future.
What your day-to-day will look like:
You'll design and architect complex software systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability of Clearco's technology stack
You will be on the front-lines of both new product initiatives as well as iterations on our core platform
You will take lead on highly visible technical features and collaborate with other engineering teams to solve complex problems
Work in a fast paced and energetic agile environment structured as individual sprints
Contribute to core technological projects as well as experimental work
Technical Requirements:
5+ years of experience building web applications, ideally in a fast paced company, with technologies like (but not limited to): TypeScript, Vue.js and Node.js
2+ years of experience designing and delivering distributed systems in accordance with a domain model, with a strong understanding of orchestration and service communication alternatives
High familiarity with cloud service providers (we're a GCP shop), strong SQL database skills (we use PostgreSQL), and CI/CD development experience (Github Actions)
Experience with modern testing methodologies, including functional testing (unit, integration, UAT), automated testing, and performance/load testing
NIX environments, and operating system and browser details (including processes, threads and file systems)
Proficient with the Git Version Control System
Participate in incident response and post-mortems, ensuring issues are resolved and learnings are applied

Have experience solving open-ended problems - this role will encounter a lot of these
