PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $188,700.00-$230,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $146,900.00 - $272,700.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As the Director Product Management – New Product Development at BECU, you will lead the charge in creating innovative lending solutions that truly resonate with our members. Your strategic vision and collaborative spirit will empower your team to explore new market opportunities, driving growth and enhancing member engagement. By harnessing industry insights and fostering cross-departmental partnerships, you’ll ensure that our products not only meet but exceed our members' expectations, positioning BECU as a leader in consumer lending.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :

  • Develop New Products: You’ll drive the creation of consumer lending products that meet BECU’s member needs and support the organization’s growth targets in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Enhance Existing Offerings: You’ll lead the enhancement of current products and services, ensuring they align with member needs and business objectives.

  • Identify Opportunities: You’ll leverage research and competitive insights to pinpoint member and product opportunities that align with BECU’s long-term strategies.

  • Set Vision and Strategy: You’ll develop and oversee the vision, strategy, and roadmap for complex products and capabilities, guiding your team towards success.

  • Direct Decision Making: You’ll influence decisions within the context of complex capabilities, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.

  • Evaluate Portfolio: You’ll assess the existing product portfolio for new opportunities and recommend modifications based on member insights.

  • Lead Product Recommendations: You’ll create product and pricing recommendations that align with BECU’s strategic and financial objectives.

  • Provide Thought Leadership: You’ll offer insights on competitive trends and innovative strategies to engage and delight our members.

  • Maximize Research Flow: You’ll ensure effective research, concept development, and delivery of products that enhance BECU’s capabilities.

  • Accountable for Goals: You’ll manage product goals and priorities across multiple capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Define Success Metrics: You’ll establish and monitor key metrics to track product and capability success, making adjustments as needed.

  • Capture Insights: You’ll collect and assess lessons learned, adapting the vision and roadmap based on your findings.

  • Identify Collaborators: You’ll connect with necessary industry partners to bring new initiatives to life.

  • Collaborate on User Experience: You’ll work with User Experience and Design teams to execute research that enhances member and employee experiences.

  • Mentor and Guide: You’ll provide mentorship and coaching at all levels, fostering growth and development within your team.

  • Facilitate Information Sharing: You’ll coordinate information sharing among team members to enhance collaboration and knowledge.

  • Support Team Development: You’ll meet regularly with staff to provide feedback on goals and competencies, encouraging their growth.

  • Adapt as Needed: You’ll take on additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating your commitment to our mission.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years of product management or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of people leader experience.

  • Experience in developing, deploying and supporting product and/or integrated suite of products.

  • Experience with federal laws, rules, regulations that impact financial institutions industry.

  • Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.

  • Experience leading cross functional teams.

  • Experience understanding and determining product strategies based on the voice of the customer.

  • Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.

  • Ability to proactively identify business and customer needs and opportunities, overcome barriers, and formulate solutions with minimal supervision.
