GE Healthcare Solution Implementation Leader - Cardiology in Remote, Texas

Job Description Summary

The Solution Implementation Leader (SIL) for Cardiology is responsible for supporting the Digital product portfolio through delivery of HL7, DICOM, system integration projects inclusive of Cardiology IT, Cardiology PACS, and VNA systems, within the Solution for Enterprise Imaging (SEI) Services business. Responsible to ensure the effectiveness of our HL7 related technical implementations for better customer outcomes and satisfaction with the implementation. Responsible for ensuring effective knowledge transfer between our product management teams, development engineering teams and the implementation teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review customer’s IT environment and coordinate with the GE Project Manager (PM) and customer to develop HL7 and DICOM interfaces between a customer’s HIS/CVIS, CVPACS, VNA and other healthcare systems.

  • Lead, plan and execute technical installation and/or upgrade of Cardiology Centricity Clinical Gateway (CCG)/Cloverleaf HL7 integration projects in coordination with customer, GEHC implementation team and other vendor resources.

  • Technical scope review with PM and preparation of workstream plan for Cardiology integration projects.

  • Obtain customer HIS/CVIS HL7 requirements.

  • Work closely with the GEHC implementation team on project related tasks including install, upgrade, testing, integration, and go-live work.

  • Configure HL7 mapping on the interface engine to meet customer workflow needs.

  • Develop and obtain approval for integration test plans with customers.

  • Address customer system workflow issues.

  • Act as main technical contact for Cardiology Centricity Clinical Gateway (CCG)/Cloverleaf interface project go-lives. Coordinate technical preparation for interface Go-Live Events.

  • Act as technical escalation point for HL7 project for Project Managers.

  • Complete administrative/compliance records relating to customer installations/upgrades.

  • Liaise with Project Managers, Technical Implementation Specialists, Workflow and Application Consultants, local Field Service Representatives and Account Managers at both technical and business levels.

  • Learn GEHC procedures and internal systems to effectively investigate product issues and escalate appropriately.

  • Assume a lead supporting role as Cardiology HL7 integration subject matter expert (SME) within the HL7 integration team.

  • Develop, document and maintain Cardiology HL7 implementation methodologies, project tools, templates and job aids incorporating best practices and lessons learned to enable and support standardized Cardiology HL7 project delivery with successful outcomes.

  • Train, mentor and support peer HL7 integration team members in Cardiology HL7 project delivery to scale team capacity while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the HL7 integration team.

  • Collaborate with product and integration teams across regions to share product knowledge, standard processes, and standard implementation methodologies.

  • Support pre-sales process and quoting when needed.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with Organizational Readiness to catch new product introductions (NPI), determine impact, define, and develop supportive collateral aligned with the integration strategy.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

  • Uses sound judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated processes/workflow with technical variety and/or interdependent applications.

  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions/solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

  • Level 1 Cloverleaf Certified and a minimum of 3+ years interface engine experience

  • Basic Networking Experience

  • Knowledge of Cardiology Systems products, related workflow and dataflows

  • Candidate must be willing and able to work with computers including the following applications: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, Windows Server and Microsoft SQL.

  • Experience working independently on multiple projects

  • Experience working with compliance objectives

  • Experience mentoring/training others

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Willingness to work out of a home office

  • Minimal travel required

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

  • Level 2 Cloverleaf Certified with 5+ years interface engine experience

  • HL7 Certified

  • Experience with Centricity Cardio Workflow and Centricity Clinical Gateway (CCG)/Cloverleaf HL7 integration projects

  • Experience with multiple Interface Engines: Cloverleaf / Rhapsody / Mirth / DataGate / Open Engine etc.

  • TCL or C programming experience

  • Experience working with relational database query language

  • Familiarity with IHE Cardiology Technical Framework

  • Experience with Information Systems Integration

The salary range for this position is

Total Base Pay Range

  • 86,560.00 - 108,200.00 - 129,840.00 USD Annual USD

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for variable incentive compensation.
