PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $143,400-$175,300 annually. The full Pay Range is $111,300-$207,400 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. You Dive Deep: Spearhead cybersecurity risk assessments, uncovering vulnerabilities across our ecosystem—from third-party vendors to our cutting-edge applications.

You Innovate: Fine-tune our risk identification and management processes, translating intricate data into crystal-clear risk reports.

You Connect : Be the bridge, liaising between our business, IT, and cybersecurity sectors, ensuring everyone's on the same page.

You Organize: Create an exhaustive inventory of risks, ensuring full visibility and proactive engagement in risk control activities.

You Enhance: Spot control gaps and devise stellar improvements, safeguarding us even when we collaborate with external partners.

You Shape Systems: Recommend state-of-the-art security controls, always being a step ahead in the ever-evolving cyber landscape.

You Master Tools: Harness the power of tools like Archer, ensuring our risk data is pristine and ready for insightful analysis.

You Ignite Awareness: Champion cybersecurity knowledge across BECU, turning everyone from staff to management into cybersecurity advocates.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience or expertise required.

  • Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience or related experience in IT, Business or Audit.

  • One of the following certifications, or equivalent certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CISA, CRISC.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting information security data and processes for potential control or framework compliance issues (PCI, NIST, FFIEC guidance and frameworks).

  • Working knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools and automation of risk evaluation, integration with enterprise risk functions, and reporting.

  • Experience and working knowledge of security risk assessment and control frameworks, good understanding of the role and function of regulations, data management practices, and cybersecurity tooling.

  • Working knowledge of the role of firewalls, vulnerability management, penetration testing, server and desktop configuration and controls, and encryption.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence the behavior of peers and build relationships with other teams.

  • Experience collaborating and influencing with stakeholder and partner organizational leadership and management, including vendors and third parties.
