BASF’s Global Strategic Marketing Crop System Wheat and Herbicides group located at BASF’s facility in RTP, NC is seeking a motivated marketing professional like you with demonstrated leadership skills to support the management and execution of the Global Herbicide Business . In this role, you will join a diversified marketing team that strives to maintain and grow a strong, profitable, BASF Herbicide Business. Reporting to the Director of Global Strategic Marketing, you will identify, evaluate, and lead cross functional initiatives to manage herbicide assets - ensuring sustainable profitability and growth, optimizing investments and increasing efficiency. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and performance tracking of the Global Herbicide Strategy, interacting and sharing best management practices with various Crop Systems Teams, Regional Marketing, Regulatory, R&D, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, and Controlling colleagues across various cultures and countries globally. As a Global Marketing Manager - Research Triangle Park, NC, you create chemistry by...

  • Leveraging your education in Agriculture or a related discipline (Business, Biology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Weed Science, or related field).

  • Utilizing your marketing, sales, and/or technical experience in an agricultural field (preferably with direct experience working with Herbicides) to proactively manage and grow the business for assigned global active ingredients, including Life Cycle Management.

  • Employing strategic and analytical thinking to develop and update strategies for each assigned active ingredient, aligning with Crop System Strategies and AP Business Strategy.

  • Supporting the development of Herbicide initiatives within Global and Regional Crop System Strategies, and assisting in R&D target setting.

  • Applying progressive marketing experience to develop and maintain a strategic market overview, contributing to the development and performance tracking of the Herbicide Business.

  • Leading strategic procurement of 3rd party active ingredients/resale product and participating in active ingredient acquisition/divestment.

  • Managing globally driven 3rd party relationships using effective communication skills and coordinating with relevant contacts in global and regional marketing, regulatory, manufacturing, legal, supply chain, and controlling to harmonize with Agricultural Solutions division strategy, demonstrating experience in collaboration and leading cross-functional teams.

If you have...

  • A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related discipline (Business, Biology, Agronomy, Chemistry, Soil Science, Weed Science, or related field), it is preferred that you also have an MBA.

  • A minimum of 5 years total experience, with 2 years in an Agricultural related field in a marketing, sales, or technical role, you meet the minimum requirements.

  • A minimum of 5 years progressive marketing experience with demonstrated competency in strategic and analytical thinking, you meet the minimum requirements.

  • A total of 10 years experience, with 5 years in an Agriculture Chemical Industry related position, including marketing, sales, or technical roles, and direct experience working with Herbicides. (Preferred)

  • If you have international work experience, it is considered a plus.
