The experienced Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will be responsible for applying business knowledge and HR expertise in a fast-paced remote austere environment, providing a wide range of HR-related support, advice, and planning.

The Human Resources Generalist acts as the primary contact for ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements that play a key role in the success of the Acuity International mission and actively support and uphold the company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

The position is in Iraq and reports to the HR Director and the MSSI Program Manager.

Location: Iraq

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies, and solutions.

Conduct meetings with respective internal client groups and handles HR deliverables.

Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions,

Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

Assists with employee discipline and corrective actions.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Provide day-to-day performance management guidance and deliver performance management programs.

Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Work with international employees with expatriate assignments including deployment along with required visa requirements.

Talent management including employee recruitment, organizational structure, workforce planning, and employee onboarding.

HRIS management working with information technology and corporate HRIS to resolve problems.

Maintain awareness of the cultural concerns and implications.

Accomplishes HR key performance indicators (KPI) Analyze data trends and metrics to inform business decisions.

Other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

3 years minimum HR experience

Bachelor's degree in related area. Relevant experience can be considered in lieu of education.

General knowledge of human resources policies and procedures

General knowledge of U.S. employment and labor law

General knowledge of HRIS systems

Excellent communication and people skills

Must be a US citizen and possess a valid US tourist passport.

Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

Proficient with MS Office Suite

Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.

Preferred requirements:

One year of international experience in the Middle East

One year handling complex employee relations issues

General knowledge of Iraqi employment and labor law

Workday experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a valid, current U.S. Driver’s License.

Must have a valid US Passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration.

Requires a favorable security background check and drug screen.

Must sign an International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.

Must be current in all required certifications.

Shall attend a Pre-deployment Counter Terrorism training course prior to deployment

Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.

Shall demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic word processing programs and the Acuity Medical Management Systems software.

Normal workweek is established by the Program Manager.

Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.

Performs duties in a safe manner and follows the corporate safety policy.

Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.

Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility.

Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance Acuity Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client.

No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting, or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel in Iraq is required by surface or air.
