Google Industry Executive, Federal Research, Public Sector in Reston, Virginia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience managing technology procurement processes or overseeing technology implementation projects within governmental agencies, public sector organizations, or regulated environments.

  • Experience in business development establishing relationships with senior-level decision-makers across public sector entities.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Federal research entities.

  • Experience influencing the direction of strategic initiatives, technology adoption, and funding allocation.

  • Experience evaluating vendors, making key procurement decisions, and shaping internal policies or procedures that impact operations.

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud or other cloud-based technologies.

  • Understanding of the federal research technology landscape. Knowledge of current pain points, emerging technologies, and potential opportunities for innovation.

The Rapid Innovation Team (RIT) is focused on bringing the Google Culture of Innovation to our customers through proving mission challenges are possible and packaging them to scale. The RIT consists of Industry Executives and Practice Leads, as well as a build team that includes Technical Program Managers and Solutions Architects to bring customer's use cases to life and to others via scaling mechanisms.

As an Industry Executive for Federal Research covering the Google Public Sector, you will leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, develop new relationships, and act as a trusted business partner with an understanding of agency issues and goals. In this role, you will guide Google’s strategy in federal research and promote products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$164,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Leverage your existing network of senior executives within federal research customers and continue building strategic partnerships at the highest levels to solidify Google's position as a trusted technology provider.

  • Act as a thought leader in the federal research sector. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Engineers, and Google Partners to pinpoint and secure business opportunities, tailoring solutions based on your sector expertise.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving federal research landscape, including technology priorities, strategic initiatives, and the evolving regulatory environment. Guide Google's strategy accordingly.
