nVent Design Engineer in Reynosa, Mexico

What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
In this position, you will get to:
Interpret piping and instrument diagrams, plot plans, piping isometrics, piping plan drawings, piping specifications and bills of materials, area classification drawings, and instrument details for projects in petrochemical and gas plants, refineries, LNG terminals, tank farms, pipelines, and other specialty engineering projects
Produce engineering calculations and Heat Tracing Designs using 3-D and 2-D design software programs (TracerLynx, TraceCalc Pro, and MTO-data base, etc)
Build and maintain effective working relationships with other functions and departments
Provide technical support for field construction personnel from the office
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction to support the teams overall success and exceed customer expectations
Verify all completed work complies with applicable specifications, customer drawings, codes, etc.
You have:
A degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred
Experience with detailed design for refining, petrochemical and industrial plant projects
Technical understanding of piping materials, components, valves, etc
Technical understanding of Ohm's Law, and electrical properties
Display an understanding of physical properties such as temperature, length, voltage, current, pressure
Be a self-starter/self-motivated, detail oriented and a good communicator both written and oral
Computer literate - proficient in a wide variety of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Access)
Able to develop relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, etc
Some travel may be required to project sites or fabrication facilities
