In this job you will be in the Construction and Technical Support (C&TS) Group overseeing Transmission Telecom Construction and will report to the Transmission C&TS Telecom Manager. You’ll be responsible for managing Overhead (OH)/Underground (UG) telecom construction related to project activities through contract resources, while ensuring that all contractor work is completed safely, on-time, on-budget, and on-scope.As a Transmission Construction Project Manager your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. Responsible for the overall construction project management of Transmission Telecom construction contractors (OH, UG and civil) within the Grid.
Acts as the single point of contact for Transmission Telecom, external contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure safe and timely completion of work while managing compliance/operating dates, budget objectives, and SCE construction standards.
Manage the work order construction process, invoicing/accounting and approvals for contractor performed work.
Work with Transmission Telecom Management overseeing contractor resource support when requested for emergent/storm related activities while managing financials associated with purchase orders.
Collaborate with Procurement and Contractor Safety regarding the Request For Proposal (RFP) process, job walks, bidder conferences, contractor qualification process meetings, and reviews.
Work with cities, other local government organizations, and customers in conjunction with SCE internal environmental compliance teams to maintain a positive SCE relationship with all external entities.
Qualifications
The essentials
Seven or more years of Project Management experience including ownership of scope, cost, and schedule.
Three or more years of experience in Transmission Telecom, IT operations, or supporting Transmission & Distribution Construction projects.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
The preferred
Experience using SAP.
Experience with rules, regulations and regulatory requirements governing transmission telecom line construction, maintenance, and operations (General Orders 95, 128 and others) and understanding of safe work practices.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Experience analyzing information and data, developing recommendations and solutions, and effectively communicating recommendations to management.
Experience facilitating meetings, developing, and engaging in discussions with a variety of audiences and levels across the organization.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

Position may require up to 70% traveling throughout the SCE service territory.
Relocation does not apply to this position.
