Description:

This position supports access duties full time at Richboro Imaging & St.Mary's MRI. These duties include registration, greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, & verification of all patients at both locations.

  • Answers telephone(s) and directs calls to appropriate personnel.

  • Re-schedule appointments for patient exams and enters information utilizing EMR.

  • Obtains demographic and personal information of patient per Trinity protocol.

  • Screens patients for any metal in their body, either by injury or surgery. Research any implants to see if it's safe for an MRI. Discusses the possibility of claustrophobia and the possible ways to get through and MRI exam (i.e. headphones, stereo, sedation, prism glasses, etc.).

  • Obtains complete information on all referring physicians including the entire name, type of doctor, address, phone and fax number and the UPIN number.

  • Prepare paperwork for scheduled patients & confirm Dr's order is in our system.

  • Advise patients of any prep necessary for scheduled exams.

  • Greets patients warmly.

  • Asks patients to complete necessary paperwork and answers any questions patients may have about such.

  • Hand patient disc of images upon completion of scan.

  • Fax any results to physicians per patient request.

  • Scan all documents into EMR.

  • Maintains and reviews daily schedule and makes necessary changes.

  • Follow & complete daily job duties.

  • Confirms appointments.Performs other duties as assigned.
