What to Expect
The Quality Assurance Associate will be reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and in turn the Site QA Director. As a member of the quality team, he/she is responsible for all aspects of the quality functions as per current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company policy.
A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Associate
Maintain a current knowledge of applicable Non-prescription and Natural Health Product Directorate (NNHPD) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Dietary Supplement Regulations
Maintain current knowledge of GMP/cGMP programs to ensure compliance with applicable NNHPD / FDA regulations
Knowledge of SOPs at Richmond Hill Distribution Center (RHDC) pertaining to job function and GMP/cGMP
Working knowledge of all software implemented at RHDC in relation to the Quality Systems and GMP/cGMP
Product review and disposition (release, quarantine, investigation, and rejections)
Physical inspections and rolling out physical dispositions of product (release, rejection, hold)
Perform investigations (deviations, CAPAs, OOS etc.) for adequate closure, dispositions, and follow-ups
Sampling for testing, retain, stability and inspection of all incoming products and maintain appropriate records and invoicing for laboratory testing
Provide support for Standard Operating Procedures (create, revise, review)
Product Returns, logging, managing and Investigating Complaints and Adverse Reactions
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in science or related field
Proven ability to manage complex projects & diverse stakeholders
2-3 years’ experience in a QA position
Preferred Skills
Ability to follow instructions, schedules and timelines
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others in a collaborative and positive manner
Ability to handle work volumes requiring a high degree of accuracy and organization
Detail-oriented and strong work ethic
Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft suite programs such as MS Word and Excel
