Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting for an Accounting Coordinator. This role processes firm wide electronic disbursements via the online banking systems. Provide consistently high service level, balancing customer service needs with adherence to firm policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and professional practice/ethical rules. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Initiates electronic payments (Wire and ACH) via the firms disbursement bank accounts for the domestic offices including vendor payments, rents, and other approved payments. 2. Initiates electronic payments via files created by the Accounts Payable department to be uploaded, monitored for approval via Paymode-X and Convera for the domestic offices including vendor invoice payments and expense reimbursements. 3. Initiates electronic payments (manual wire entry) as needed for the Trust department to be entered, verify with confirmation and respond to requestor. 4. Coordinates with the AP manager on troubleshooting any file reject issues to ensure payments are completed in a timely manner. 5. Coordinates documentation as needed for bank requests related to OFAC holds, account info issues and similar needs. 6. Coordinates and communicates electronic vendor campaigns programs with the Accounts Payable department and available programs for both vendor invoice and expense reimbursements. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of three years job related experience required, including internships, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to generate a large volume of work and be capable of making sound decisions in the absence of clear instructions. Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills. Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through both written and oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Ability to maintain flexibility regarding work assignments to work overtime on short notice required.
