We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Analyst or Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records in the company database, including data entry and processing transactions. This role requires collaboration with the grants team to review and reconcile costs, track funding compliance, and manage financial reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain accurate records in the company database, SAP, including data entry and processing transactions.

• Collaborate with the grants team to review and reconcile costs, ensuring compliance with federal IIJA funding requirements and financial reporting.

• Conduct thorough analysis and collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies and apply corrective actions.

• Ensure grants compliance data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics, specifically SF424, grant performance reporting, and recipient reporting forms

• Create and maintain written policy and procedures to ensure compliance with IIJA federal grant requirements.

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the project management and grants team in preparation for compliance reporting.

• Liaise across all entities to serve as the main point of contact for key grants relationships and support colleagues across multiple departments in budgeting, reporting, and compliance matters.

• Maintain grants management planning tools, reporting requirements, and review/evaluation techniques, and recommend changes to enhance program effectiveness.

• Support federal grant audits and interrogatories, as necessary.

• Monitor budgets on a monthly basis, confirm accuracy, and conduct variance analysis of actual vs. budget.

• Work with the department leadership team to monitor all program budgets and troubleshoot problems identified from reports.

• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for special grants-related projects.

• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the internal Grants and Finance departments to address relevant issues.

• Work directly with Electric Distribution PMs to develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts based on established scheduled plans and estimates, report financial results, and prepare financial projections.

• Monitor project costs, communicate discrepancies, and modify/maintain project forecasts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience in directly related field.

  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.

  • Effective analytical skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

• Bachelor
