OVERVIEW

The Copy Editor will provide assistance with LoopNet’s Ad Content, text, images, and other marketing materials. The copy editor will also create content to market LoopNet services further. Furthermore, they will be responsible for collaborating with multiple teams of writers, designers, and marketing professionals across the company.

This position will play a key role in both the oversight and development of LoopNet products. The Copy Editor will understand the need for collaboration and teamwork across multiple businesses within CoStar, providing detailed feedback and communication.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review all LoopNet signature ad content, including text, images, videos, and embedded content

  • Edit copy for content, accuracy, and continuity, as well as for style, grammar, spelling, and punctuation

  • Write compelling, SEO-friendly headlines; craft concise, accurate captions

  • Collaborate with other LoopNet team members to ensure accuracy of data

  • Develop standards and best practices for LoopNet content creation

  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not for profit University or Collegein Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related degree

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers

  • 3+ years of experience in Copy Editing, Content Writing, and Copy Revision

  • Excellent writing skills; writing samples must be provided

  • 2+ years of experience in AP Style of writing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Commercial real estate experience preferred

  • Ability to work under deadlines without compromising editorial standards, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines

  • Experience working in a team setting and collaborating with a wide range of professionals
