Senior Manager, Procure-to-Pay Operations Lead

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Procure-to-Pay Operations Lead to join our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Team. As a Senior Manager, Procure to Pay Operations Lead you will be responsible for leading three high performing teams of leaders and individuals that ensure our third parties are efficiently and safely paid for the services they provide to the enterprise. This accountability spans two business critical (L2) functions and requires sound judgment of intent, attention to detail, and accountability of risk. You will work closely with ESM, Finance, Enterprise Payments, and subject matter experts from various parts of the company in carrying out ESM Operations’ duties to our Line of Business associates domestically and internationally. This leadership position plays a critical role in earning the customer trust that affords us the ability to continuously evolve our processes and offerings for the company every day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • People Leader of Leaders - Oversees the growth and development of people leaders that include, empower, and inspire their teams to a healthy, high-performing Procure to Pay operations for Capital One.

  • Cross Team Facilitator/Relationship Building - Our Operation offers our services to the enterprise but we can’t do it alone. We also require the services of other internal and external groups to carry out our duties for the company. This role requires intentional curation of those customer and service provider relationships to collectively meet the enterprise expectations of our function.

  • Risk and control mindedness - In order to successfully operate two business critical processes, we must operate with rigor, an analytic mindset and balance. This leader is accountable for critical thinking, finding points of failure, and embracing a learning culture within the team that makes us more resilient every day.

  • Subject Matter Expertise - A strong candidate for this role, will have an ability to deeply relate and understand the detailed needs of their customers in the LOBs, our Supply Chain Partners in the US and around the world, as well as Finance’s many branches that oversee our accounting, payments, and taxes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management, Procurement, Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management or a combination

  • At least 3 years of People Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management, Procurement, Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management or a combination

  • At least 5 years of People Leadership experience
