The Boeing ­­­­­Mission Systems team in Ridley Park, PA is looking for multiple Entry Level Mission Systems Engineers to support the software development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification). This team develops hardware and software solutions for the V-22 Osprey, an advanced multi-mission tiltrotor for the Marines, Air Force, Navy, and International defense forces. You will work as a member of a growing team to implement updates to existing software designs, as well as designs for enhanced capabilities. We’re currently staffing for opportunities in SW Requirements and SW Test. The software team supports multiple development programs utilizing small, responsive Agile teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Full life-cycle Software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux.

  • Developing and debugging real-time embedded applications.

  • Working with customers and other engineers to define requirements, such as understanding and agreeing upon the function of the software system.

  • Architecting and designing software to meet current and future requirements.

  • Implementing and testing software using a variety of technologies and software languages

  • Responsible for designing and developing quality products, have strong communication skills, and are capable of working in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple projects concurrently

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree by June 2022

  • Familiar with full life-cycle Software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux.

  • experience working in Agile software development framework.

  • experience with real-time embedded software development.

  • Familiar with DO-178C requirements.

  • Experience with LDRA or other code coverage tools.

  • Familiar working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodology using MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, ethernet standards

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
