Five Sandoval Indian Pueblos, INC Head Start Lead Teacher in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
POSITION SUMMARY: Zia Pueblo Head Start Head Start Lead Teacher demonstrates competency to perform functions that include; responsibility for pre-planned classroom activities with the Teacher Assistant. Administer planned instructional activities and evaluate children as directed. Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. Supporting the social and emotional development of children. Encourage involvement of families of the children in a Head Start Program and support development of relationships between children and their families. EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:
- Must have completed the 45-hour class for certification.
- BA or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or BA or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education,
- with experience teaching preschool age children.
Candidate must be Native American, with qualifying education requirements.
