Job Description: Demand Planner & Business Analyst

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner with advanced proficiency in demand forecasting and production planning, coupled with strong analytical skills to support business analysis functions. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, forecasting methodologies, and business processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in demand planning and possess the ability to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather forecast information and validate assumptions.

  • Monitor and analyze demand patterns, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize inventory levels.

  • Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure alignment between demand and supply plans.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy and supply chain efficiency.

  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of changes in demand or supply variables.

  • Generate regular reports and performance metrics related to demand planning and inventory management.

  • Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment.

  • Support business analysis efforts by analyzing data, interpreting trends, and providing actionable insights.

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to contribute demand planning expertise and support decision-making processes.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, production planning, or supply chain analytics.

  • Proficiency in demand forecasting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data visualization) and experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a dynamic business environment.

  • Experience in business analysis, including conducting cost-benefit analysis, process mapping, and performance monitoring.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM) is a plus.
