As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants ofRochester, NY (http://www.city-data.com/city/Rochester-New-York.html) and in Canandaigua, N.Y.
Jordan Health is now seeking aGeneral Service Assistantwho, under the guidance of the Facilities Coordinator, is primarily responsible for maintaining Jordan Health Center buildings. Duties include maintenance of the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, grounds keeping, and indoor and outdoor building repairs.

Requirements
TheGeneral Service Assistantwill ensure to:
· Provide general and detailed maintenance.
· Order supplies to ensure adequate levels.
· Respond to emergency call-ins.
Education and Experience Required:
· High School Diploma
Licenses and Certifications:
· None
Special Skills, Knowledge Required:
· Mechanical skills expertise in various tools, systems and equipment diagnose mechanical problems and perform troubleshooting and repair various power and hand tools.
· Technical expertise with electrical systems, electrical engineering, mechanics and computer science.
· Familiarity with blueprints and equipment safety, fixing machinery and read system schematics and blueprints.
· Time management regimented schedules ability to accomplish critically important work in a timely manner.
· Resource management to help keep track of replacement parts and supplies.
· Attention to detail to follow exact procedures.
· Communication skills coordination and collaboration with engineers and facility managers.
· Problem-solving skills. The ability to solve issues by finding viable solutions promptly.
· Organizational skills, ability to prioritize maintenance and repairs.
· Ability to work under pressure in a loud or stressful environment.
