Description

Neurogenetics Fellow: Principal duties will include completing fellowship training in neurogenetics. The fellowship period should be used to strengthen the fellow’s knowledge base and clinical skills in neurogenetics. During this fellowship training, the fellow will be expected to provide excellent patient care under supervision by attending faculty as well as independently as directed by attending faculty. We also encourage use of the fellowship period to develop expertise in teaching, research, and other forms of scholarship.

Clinical activities will include participation in clinical rotations as indicated by the program director, including continuity neurogenetics clinic, relevant subspecialty clinics, inpatient neurogenetics consultations, as well as participation in structured didactics and other learning opportunities. The fellow will be expected to participate in teaching material from the neurogenetics knowledge base to medical students, neurology residents, child neurology fellows, and other trainees.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must be eligible for a New York State Medical LIcense, will have an MD PhD and completion of a residency/fellowship in child neurology

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
