Tredegar Corporation Maintenance Mechanic (Nights) in Rochester, New York

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our film extrusion and slitting machinery. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, maximizing production efficiency, and maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on film extrusion and slitting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and implement effective solutions.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of machinery.
Collaborate with production teams regarding the machine operating conditions of all machines.
Work with outside contractors to ensure proper job completion.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures.
Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma, Vocational/Technical Certificate, or equivalent of 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing setting with film extrusion and slitting equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent problem solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of the team.
Ability to work nights on a 12-hour shifts and 36/48 hours schedule.

All candidates must be able to work a twelve-hour shift schedule and work every other weekend. Shifts are 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (nights)
Pay: $26.88 - $34.92 per hour.
