University of Rochester Urology - Sawgrass Location - Nurse Practitioner/Physician in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Exciting opportunity to provide patient care in collaboration with a member of the medical staff of URMC clinical services. Patient population consists primarily of general urology. The position would be primarily clinical with training and involvement in basic urologic procedures. Fast-paced clinic. Collaborates with the Urology team in providing care to the patients in the pre-operative and post-operative period. Office visits include new, follow ups and postoperative, and urgent patients. Completes dictations on all visits. Evaluates patient, orders necessary tests, consults with urology team, occasional pre-admission testing for emergent surgeries. Strong communication and clinical skills required. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Certified NYS NP, MS degree required or Certified NYS PA required. Urology experience preferred.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA ( National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $44.71 - $67.07

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Full/Part Time:
Schedule: FT position available. Monday-Friday. No on-call responsibilities.
