Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a full-time Production Planner for one of our manufacturing clients in Rock Hill, SC. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong working knowledge of Oracle or SAP. Within Oracle this candidate would be responsible for creating production schedules, facilitating all Work in Process transactions, maintaining all MRP parameters and jobs, ensuring current and accurate information regarding parts, suppliers, and shipment status. Other responsibilities include:

 Completing various projects defined by the planning supervisor, including data collection, charting data, and tracking data to maintain and meet department goals and objectives.

 Managing inventory flow of production parts and finished goodsnotification of critical part shortages or non-conformances.

 Monitoring obsolete inventory, optimizing utilization and reducing inventory write-offs.

 Planning worldwide production using order point and forecasting processes.

This candidate should be well organized, disciplined, and self-motivated. They must be able to communicate with the appropriate office or department to schedule, coordinate, and verify anticipated demand.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years related work experience

o Example job titles may include Production Scheduler, Materials Planner, Manufacturing Planner, Supply Chain Planner or Supply Planner

 Production planning experience using SAP or Oracle

 Inventory management experience

 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals,

 familiarity with financial reports, and legal documents

 Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers Background in Automotive industry null
