Seeking a Faility Maintenanc Technician for Rockledge Florida location
$14/hr Full time
Summary of Position:
High energy, self-starting individual with experience, skills and capabilities to support any facilities or equipment tasks. The Facilities Maintenance Technician FMT performs work involving the skills of maintenance to keep machines, mechanical equipment and/or the building infrastructure in good working order. Conducts preventive maintenance PM and maintenance, facility or equipment improvement projects and service and repairs in the areas of, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, construction and machine servicing. Requires adroitness and capabilities in related fields e.g. welding, hydraulics, carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning HVAC ; plumbing, etc. .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Specific responsibilities for maximum results and to avoid typical obstacles:
a. Performs PM procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
b. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
c. Supports production operations as required for preventive maintenance, maintenance and repairs as required for facilities and equipment
d. Support facility and equipment repairs involving one or more of the following areas: welding, hydraulics, carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing
e. Perform or support facility build-out or construction projects
f. Support new equipment installations
g. Able to perform routine maintenance in an unsupervised manner when necessary and authorized
h. Other duties as assigned by management

a. Response to urgent maintenance requests within 1 hour
b. Machinery and equipment operating at >98% up-time
c. Zero safety incidents related to facilities and maintenance
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, where applicable:
A) Minimum education: Associate’s degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
B) Minimum years of directly relatable experience required:
a. FM-I – minimum of 3 years
b. FM-II – minimum of 7 years
c. FM-III - >10 years
C) Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office Products – primarily MS Excel and Outlook; internet software; general competency with computer systems.
D) Communication: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
E) Has an understanding of basic electricity and more specifically controller(s) operation in order to inspect electrical systems for unsafe conditions and operational efficiency.
F) Understands how to read and interpret machine and equipment drawings and specifications necessary to affect prudent PM and repairs
G) Highly skilled with the use of tools and test equipment in support of performing the job
Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Use hands, fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hand and arms; talk and hear. The associate must occasionally lift/and move up to 50 pounds.
