Machine Operator

Currently Recruiting for the following: 2nd Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm ($16.50 base plus $1.00 shift premium) 3rd Shift: 11:00pm-7:30am ($16.50 base plus $2.00 shift premium) * Weekend Availability Required*

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers' License

  • No minimum education or experience required

Preferred:

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School

  • Forklift experience

  • Previous Machine Operator Experience

  • Hand/Power Tools

Position Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot assigned machines. Accountable for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain product quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).

  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).

  • Regularly move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

  • Follow company policies and procedures.

  • Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Safety and Security:

  • Report work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.

  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and safety personnel.

  • Follow company specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).

  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.

  • Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood-borne pathogens, including using Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

  • Complete safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
