Job Duties Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks and answering trouble calls. Troubleshooting problems with the use of schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480v three phase. Removing and replacing defective parts from equipment with the use of hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools. Communicating effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize repairs. Make entries to the maintenance log explaining problems encountered, repairs made, and parts used or needed. Keeping company tools put away and in working order. Fabricating repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, etc. Using shop equipment. (Welders, plasma cutter, torch, grinder, etc.)
