Position Summary:
The Weekend Shift Assistant Production Manager, in conjunction with 1st Shift Management, leads and coordinates production employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment regarding the construction of modular units on the weekend shift with occasional additional days as needed. This position helps to plan, execute and assign work, implements policies and procedures as well as identifies and implements process improvements. This position will also help monitor the overall safety of the facility operation resources.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities -
Works closely with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
This role will work closely with Crew Leads and serves as a resource to them, as needed.
Assist in planning and directing production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
Helps to coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
Oversees, schedules, and coordinates daily work assignments of weekend shift staff.
Responsible for continuous improvement related to jobs in process and on completion to ensure products meet safety and work quality expectations.
