The Division of Technology Services (DTS) is looking for someone who loves to solve problems,is passionate about new technology,and is a talented and motivated individual looking to pursue a career with us as a Desktop Services Technician. We support all state agencies in the geographic area and a variety of enterprise applications offering a challenging fast-paced work environment.  This position requires a high level of expertise and broad experience in desktop hardware,applications,and advanced troubleshooting. You will work under the direction of the area supervisor and become a key team player in the Rural Central Support group. You will be expected to be proficient in setting up and imaging Windows desktop operating systems. There may be times when you will be required to work extended hours and/or weekends to implement changes,troubleshoot issues,or complete project tasks. You will be required to have a valid driver s license and be able to drive to locations within the coverage area.    You will work with all hardware and software products used by the customers in the geographic area,supporting multiple agencies,helping to troubleshoot problems and provide customers solutions. You will be part of a larger team,however,you will primarily be working independently.

This job may be filled at either of the levels listed below. (Rate as listed or in accordance with DHRM Rules for current state employees.)

• Technical Support Specialist III,$33.23- $48.59 per hour
• Technical Support Specialist II,$29.00- $44.79 per hour

This position will be located in the office five days a week,the office is located at 140 West 425 South,Roosevelt Utah.
