In this job, you’ll play a key role in Cybersecurity Governance focusing on disaster recovery and cyber resiliency. You will lead the disaster recovery program concentrating on infrastructure, platforms, applications, and cloud providers. Additionally, you will drive Cybersecurity Governance metrics and reports, and support various Cybersecurity Governance activities.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Lead the management, implementation, and maturity of the Cyber Governance - Cyber Resiliency and Disaster Recovery program.

  • Lead a portfolio of systems to ensure disaster recovery requirements are met both for annual testing and implementation of new projects.

  • Train disaster recovery SMEs to prepare them for their expected tasks to ensure recoverability of critical systems.

  • Mature the Cyber Governance cloud program to include recovery strategies with major cloud providers.

  • Mature the testing of internal infrastructure and platforms.

  • Partner and collaborate with the Enterprise Business Resiliency team to ensure agreement for IT disaster recovery and business continuity management for recovery, testing, and documentation.

  • Prepare presentations/reports for Sr. Management, steering committees, and executive committees.

The essentials

  • Ten or more years of experience in information technology, disaster recovery (including system dependency analysis, risk identification, mitigation planning), and/or continuity planning.

  • Lead the development of technical projects by directing the analysis, strategies, and execution of tasks needed to meet business requirements or mitigate risk.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related field.

  • Experience with infrastructure and platform technical recovery strategies, testing, and/or governance. (i.e. internal networks)

  • Experience with cloud hosted technical recovery strategies, or implementation/subscription of services, and/or governance. (i.e. Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)

  • Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Experience with policies, procedures, controls, regulatory compliance, and audits.

  • Experience working within a NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

  • Experience working with NERC/CIP standards.

  • Experience creating and developing metrics and reporting.

  • Disaster Recovery certifications from DRII (CPCP or MBCP).

  • Cybersecurity certifications in CISSP/GIAC/CISM/CISA/CRISC/PMP.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
