POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead Chemical Engineer will support the development, innovation, commercialization, and project execution of the technology in support of STRAP. This role will continue to develop and improve design practices, tools, and infrastructure in Sustainability Technology Solution (STS) technologies and Gas Processing Technologies. STS technologies includes alcohol to jet, plastics, renewable fuels and energy storage. Gas Processing Technologies includes different treating, and recovery processes for Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). The Lead Chemical Engineer will align some of these technologies based on business needs to ensure they are competitively positioned in the marketplace. It is expected they will become a Process Specialist in the aligned area and will be expected to make contributions to new business through technology differentiation and development as well as to support sales and business teams in developing new business growth opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Senior-level engineering position providing guidance and information to lower-level engineers and having responsibility for various projects and plans.

  • Continue development of technology by collaborating with R&D, business, and others as required.

  • Play a leadership role in technology resolution.

  • Drive maintenance, development, and improvement of infrastructure and tools.

  • Plan, organize, and communicate project technical needs to leadership.

  • Process simulation and design of units using simulation tools.

  • Perform and review engineering calculations.

  • Design, sizing, specification, and selection of plant equipment.

  • Preparation and review of technical reports, review of technical proposals.

  • Participate in hazard analysis studies.

MUST HAVE

  • 7+ years of process or process design engineering experience in the Oil and Gas Industry or a related field

  • Extensive process simulation experience using Unisim, Aspen, or similar software.

  • Experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Heat and Material Balances (HMBs), and Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

  • Experience in renewable fuels, alcohol to jet, gas processing, or related technologies.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, support tool infrastructure, and development opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems.

The annual base salary range for this position is $138,000 - $156,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.This position is incentive plan eligible.
