Sutter Health Nursing Assistant - Med/Surg in Roseville, California

Position Overview:

The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care.


High school graduate or equivalent. Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics are essential. State of California Nurse Assistant Certification is preferred. Experience as a nurse assistant in acute-care facility or recent extended-care experience is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, and staff members both verbally and in writing. Ability to write legibly, spell correctly, and perform basic mathematics. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read, speak, and write English. Priority-setting ability. American Heart Association BLS-HCP recognition.

Basic computer knowledge preferred.
