Siemens Digital Industries Software Mendix developer in Rotterdam, Netherlands

Mendix – the leading low-code application development platform:

The Mendix Platform uses visual modeling to abstract long-form coding out of application development. Our customers use Mendix to create and deploy better software for the enterprise, faster. Mendix is collaborative - the people who use the software and the people who build the software work together throughout the development process.

Read our Customer Stories (https://www.mendix.com/customer-stories/) to learn more about the wealth of software and solutions global organizations have built with the Platform.

At Mendix we strive to maintain a diverse, open, and safe working environment where people can be their true selves. We value every voice, celebrate individuality, and appreciate the diversity of thought and experience. People who work here are driven, smart, and really good at what they do.

As this market evolves, we encourage people of all skill levels to work with the platform, both for clients and candidates. Apply today to discover how you can make a meaningful impact with Mendix.

As our product grows and evolves, we continuously decide which features end up in the platform itself, and which features end up as content (widgets, modules). To ensure sustainable growth, it is essential to have a core that is lean and highly extensible. This strategy enables us to serve an ever-growing range of platforms, channels, and use cases with our product.

In this role, you will join a team that focuses on delivering high-quality, high-value capabilities and solutions on top of the core platform. You will carefully determine if and how existing platform functionality can be transformed into 'content' (e.g. widgets, modules, extensions), to keep the core lean. In addition, you and the rest of the team will create additional content (mostly in the form of modules) to deliver essential functionality to our users. The most recent example of this is the PDF Document Generation module/service.

The team is positioned within the unit responsible for Studio Pro and the Runtime. It is uniquely positioned to enhance the platform capabilities, while working in the heart of R&D.

You're the innovator we need if:

  • You have a BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

  • You have a minimum of 3-year overall experience with implementing Mendix Solutions.

  • You have experience in working as a (Solution) Architect in a customer-facing role.

  • You have experience in all areas of the Mendix App Development process.

  • You have extensive knowledge in Mendix Best Practices for development.

  • You have experience in Agile software development. You're able to adapt to change and are open-minded. You're comfortable working as part of a scrum team.

  • You want to become part of a work environment in which your ideas are valued.

  • You enjoy the occasional game of table tennis, football, or an (online) pub quiz.

Bonus:

  • You have experience with Javascript/Typescript/C#/Java.

  • You have a thorough understating of various integration protocols (REST, OData, SOAP, etc.) and experience in integrating Mendix application with external apps and services.

Working for Mendix and with our Customers means your reliability has to be beyond any doubt, and therefore every employment is subject to an onboarding screening and the condition precedent a Certificate of Conduct is provided that demonstrates you did not commit any offences that are relevant to the performance of your function.
