Aston Carter Grant Accountant in Sacramento, California


This position is part of the Grant Accounting Accounts Receivable team. This individual will be responsible for patient revenue accruals, grant billing, grantor fiscal reviews, assisting with cost reporting for Medi-Cal and Medicare, audit preparation and participation, UDS, OSHPD reporting. Calculate monthly Patient Revenue accruals. Prepare monthly revenue related journal entries. Communicate with internal and external customers and auditors Assist Accounting Manager with the following: Medi-Cal Cost Reports and Annual Reconciliations, Medicare Cost Reporting, UDS and OSHPD reporting, External Audit preparation and participation, Grant Billing & Grant Budgeting, Medi-Cal PPS Rate Setting Audits, Grantor Fiscal Reviews, Cross train within the Grant Accounting team and Accounts Receivable team to provide coverage for accounts receivable team members when absences occur. Participate in process improvement activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Accounting Bachelor’s Degree Required: Accounting, finance or economics

Experience in the accounting department in the Healthcare, non-profit environment preferred

Abila MIP and NextGen Software experience, preferred

Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) experience, preferred

5+ Years experience within Grant accounting. (Any non profit)
